This year we will have a new route. Everyone will walk approximately 2 miles together to the water source, then have their choice of returning distance. One path back will be less than a mile, while the other will be slightly more than a mile.
Each walker is given an empty 3 gallon bucket. Half way through the route, walkers will fill their buckets to their desired level with dirty water and carry it back. Keep in mind, a gallon of water weighs 8.3 lbs.
The walk itself takes about an hour to complete. You’re encouraged to come early and stay afterwards to enjoy entertainment and activities for the whole family.

The distance is similar to a 5K, but we do not run. This is a noncompetitive event, but feel free to challenge your teammates to see who can carry the most water!
